Batch Reports

Can a moderator please help me understand why batch reports for “all my listings” are processed daily on my account but I’m not requesting them? Today while requesting a batch report for “all my listings”, I saw a list of batch reports that had been run for my account. It’s being done every few days. Is this Amazon requesting the report, is my account hacked, etc? I only requested the report today.

Hi @Seller_ERH7IiR1y5OfX,

Keeping an eye on these kinds of things is always a good idea, but in this case, it’s rather unlikely that your account was actually hacked.

Here’s some context that might help clarify:

Amazon differentiates between scheduled reports (automatically generated) and requested reports (manually triggered or requested by third-party apps). You can find more technical details about this here: https://developer-docs.amazon.com/sp-api/docs/report-type-values-inventory

For the "All My Listings" report (Inventory Report), Amazon’s documentation states: This report can only be requested.

If you notice that these reports are being created regularly, for example, at the same time each day (as shown in the 'Date & Time Completed' column on this page: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/listing/reports), it’s likely that a third-party application with access to your Selling Partner API (SP API) is requesting these reports on your behalf.

To double-check, go to Settings > User Permissions, and look under the "Third-party developer and apps" section to see if any tools have access to your account. If you spot an app you no longer use or don’t recognize, you can revoke its access there.

I hope this clears things up for you!

Kind regards, Michael
