Finally It Happened... Account Deactivated
Out of the blue I received the following message from Amazon
I didn’t receive a previous message, there is no other message in my seller performance notifications just this one above.
My account health status is good. All of my information such as business info, bank, charge method shows green and verified. I submitted a copy of an HMRC Tax Statement that is within Amazon’s date time frame and then my account was deactivated. I cannot disburse and have no chance of receiving any monies from them. Thankfully, after reading so many similar stories on the forum I disbursed every day so there wasn’t a fortune owning.
It seems it’s the end of the road for me here, but… Hey ho. Guess what. I expect this to happen sooner or later so it didn’t come as a complete surprise. Every cloud has a silver lining…
I now feel better in myself, calmer, I sleep better and feel free. I have my life back and that I am grateful for. I don’t need to sell on Amazon to survive, I don’t have my eggs in one basket so I won’t stave. I don’t have a mortgage and I have a steady flow of income from other sources though I’m not denying what I earn’t on Amazon was very nice thank you.
This reinforces that Amazon as a whole are a bunch of thieves.
I have emailed the MD’s office for what it’s worth, but, you know. If my account by some miracle get reinstated I really don’t want to be here and would probably close my account.
Amazon should realise that sellers are also customers. I have Amazon Prime, and when it’s time for renewal I won’t renew. NEVER will I make a purchase on Amazon again. I have a website, a blog and I will spread the word as much as I can about the way this multi billion pound company treat sellers.

On the face of it, what you have posted is very worrying for all of us as it looks like you have been closed down by a random bot.

you have my sympathy, I think a lot of us waken up of a morning and with trepidation open our laptop to check we still have an account.
not because we think we have done anything wrong, scammed anyone, not paid VAT or tax, just that we sell on Amazon and who knows what the next drama will be, thats the reality of selling on amazon

We feel your pain & relief. We got de-activated on 3rd Feb for a related account which was our account on another marketplace and within our global selling account and have been round in circles since. Lifes goes on without Amazon and perhaps some day one of the bots will develop a mind of its own and think!!!

Good Luck with the future. No one likes stress and appreciate selling online does have downfalls BUT what they get away with, absolutely cheating the sellers that make them a LOT of money is incredible.

We used to wholesale, before I decided to shut it all down to pursue a career in the arts! Visited the NEC Spring fair earlier this month, really bought home how much I miss the buzz and meeting lovely happy people. I’ll cnmtinue to sell on Amazon…but putting my eggs elsewhere
