Listings having photos replaced or deleted by AI Bot?
We have recently seen several hundred of our listings have their photographs changed, seemingly by Amazon itself. We are brand registered and have created many of these listings over the years. Particularly with products that include sizing, there appears to be an AI generated photo that combines one of our original photos with a grid to differentiate sizing, showing Length x Width.
The problem with this is that in doing so, in many cases the bot appears to have removed all other photos from the pages, including detail close ups and other photos with user/product related content, leaving a single photo of the product. In other cases the original photos, which in many cases have been used for years, are deleted completely, leaving a public facing listing with zero photos. In other cases the script or bot or whatever it was misidentified the "back of product" photo as the main photo, meaning our product now displays a backwards main photo, and no other photos at all.
A couple notes- all original photos were of suitable Amazon quality. Again, we are brand registered and in most all cases the lone seller of our product, so the contributions were not from other sellers. The changes all seem to be automated, which leads us to believe it was done by a script run and generated via AI.
We have opened a case, since marked resolved by Amazon support, to address this and see what the root cause was and ask if it can be reversed, or at least be reassured it will not happen again. We would spend the time needed to fix the issue but if we do we are afraid it will happen again next week. Amazon support was not helpful, focusing on the handful of example ASINS we provided and instructing us to fix those issues. They did not or could not answer why this happened, how it happened or if it will re-occur.
Our real concern is A) why did this happen, B) can it be reversed and C) if we go thru and fix hundreds of product photos can we reasonably be assured that this will not happen again? If there was something wrong with our original photos we were not notified thru our account as we have always proactively addressed any past issues.
We are asking for moderator support to help get this to the correct team. Our original case has examples of the issue to reference but again, the associates were either not understanding or were unable to answer our primary concerns. As our sales are likely being impacted by these changes we would greatly appreciate any assistance that you can lend.

I was told my item was no longer searchable because the image was not clear that it was a ball. It is a book, and the image is of the book. It's almost funny.

This makes me sick! This is a disgrace and should be ILLEGAL!!! How dare they change images with their AI bot and then they have the audacity to blame YOU the seller for complaints and shut your account! You should contact an attorney right away - use Rosenbaum & Segall P.C. he and his team are the best. HE specializes in AMAZON stores and lawsuits.

Oh NO! Not another Bot! I am still dealing with fixing categories that were changed by the Category Bot before the Battery Bot gets me again.

Amazon Seller recently switch how IMAGES are updated. I found out recently that they installed in Seller a Manage images section that used to only be on Vendor.
You have to go to Catalog>Upload Images>Click Image Manager
That is where you can fix the image issues instead of where it sued to be and it seems like when they added this a lot of my images got edited but it isn't all products so with everything else I have to fix I have to fix all of this as well

We lost over 3,000 skus to a hacker that changed our verified brand's GTINs and the bots went crazy.
Seller support and brand support have been no help at all. FOR OVER A MONTH!
This will not bode well for buyers and Amazon has proven over and over, sellers don't matter to them... But buyers do.
The demise continues.
