If your account is in good standing you can close it yourself. Delete all inventory -- active or inactive -- wait ninety days and close the account.
If your account has been suspended you will not be able to close it.

Before starting, I need to better understand the status of your account. Do you have any pending issues that need to be resolved? Is your account at risk of deactivation or is it deactivated?
Depending on the answer to the questions above, we will have a different way to help you resolve your case.
Please share more details about your account, such as screenshots containing important messages for our understanding of your specific case.
**Note that before permanently closing an account, the seller may choose to stop selling for a while by suspending the offers under Offer Status. You can delete your offers but keep your account open for future use.
Perform the following mandatory steps:
- Submit all pending orders.
- Cancel all your offers to delete them from Amazon.
- Resolve all your transactions with customers and issue any necessary refunds.
- Confirm that the bank details in the file are valid to receive a final payment.
- If you're a Professional seller, switch to an Individual selling plan so you don't have to pay for the rest of your subscription. This will resolve your issue of receiving fees on your card. Go to the Switch to an Individual selling plan page to downgrade from a Professional selling plan to an Individual selling plan, thus eliminating professional seller fees.
After completing the steps above, do the following:
- Find the gear icon at the top right of the screen
- Go to Account Information
- Account Management
- Close account
Note that you will be taken to the page where you will open a case with Seller Support who will contact you to complete your sales account closing process.
Just like bookwormapril said, after your last sale you will need to wait ninety days and to be able to close the account and aslo if your account has been suspended or deactivated you will not be able to close it until all the issues in the account is resolved and the account is active.
