Issue with Amazon Brand Registry - Brand Name Uniqueness Across Categories

I recently registered my brand, LUSSO, under class 14, Serial number: 98453298 and received a code from Amazon. However, my brand registration was declined by Amazon because there is another brand with the same name, LUSSO, registered under a different category.

My brand are unique under class 14, and only on my behalf of my LLC, also I received a code from amazon to verify owner of the brand!! How come???

I’m a bit confused about this. I was under the impression that as long as my brand name is unique within its specific class, it should be accepted. Does the brand name need to be unique across all categories on Amazon? If so, could someone please clarify why this is the case? Any guidance or resources to better understand Amazon’s brand name uniqueness requirement would be greatly appreciated.

As mentioned in the event thread, the Brand Registry enrollment team is following your application to ensure it is processed correctly. This can take up to 7 business days to complete.

Please feel free to respond here if you have any other questions and If I receive an update from the enrollment team, I will provide that here.

Thank you,
