8572 Error warning

We have hit a real problem and despite multiple case logs to Amazon still cannot resolve. We were approved to sell a well known brand of light bulb.We want to sell 3 bulbs in a pack so used a GTIN EAN from our approved GS1 account. We filled in all the details.Product, offer, images etc all green ticks and submitted. We then get the 8572 warning. We are a UK seller.Screenshot after screenshot supplied to Amazon without any real help or support.

It is because you are using your own GS1 barcode and not a barcode from the brand. You are only supposed to use barcodes from the brand.

Assuming they are not normally sold as 3 and you are bundling 3 bulbs together?

There is no easy answer to this unfortunately. If you use your own brand name rather than the brand on the bulb that could lead to the listing being taken down. If you are on good terms with the brand you could ask if they will allocate you a barcode for this item.

Other options to sell them as Generic, again this could lead to the listing being taken down. You could look into GTIN exemption but it is unlikely they will give this if the individual items are barcoded.
