Your item is late or lost

Due to the FBA constraints I am posting a lot more FBM.

I use Royal Mail 2D tracking (which I understand they do not recognise)

All my buyers are getting emails telling them that the item is lost or late and they should write to me asking for a refund. I am getting 30-40 emails a day from people asking for refunds.

The tracking always shows delivery. I have already sent them the tracking info at despatch but when I resend the delivery confirmation they usually don’t write back.

This is using up a lot of my time when I am busy as I have no staff.

I have written to Seller Support to express my dissatisfaction at them doing this but they can’t understand what I am talking about.

It is so frustrating.

Hi Paul73,
This has long been a problem for FBM orders. Seller Support are fully aware of the situation. and yes, I agree not only frustrating, it’s also really annoying.

Been a major problem For ages. but currently it’s horrendous. I’m Getting 3-4 a day. I get no such claims on eBay but amazon it’s gone beyond a joke now.

I’m Also getting nice customers who get email saying actually they have got it and to stay safe.

I get loads of these, from Amazon France mostly. I send untracked airmail as my tiny items fit in a small letter and they’re pretty low value. I had to jack up my prices quite to France a bit to cover all the losses. My prices are significantly lower on Ebay where it isn’t a problem. It’s still cheaper for me to send them via standard airmail, despite all the scammers, so I still used untracked airmail and I calculate the losses every year and price hike on amazon accordingly. Items to France are literally 30% cheaper on all my other channels now. I’m happy to comply with Amazon policy and issue the refunds, but they’re certainly not doing themselves any favors by forcing FBM merchants to price hike.

I have been getting loads of these this week - three or four word sentence asking for a refund. Totally different to the usual it’s not arrived messages I get.

As delivery confirmation is never going to be enough to win an a-z, does anyone disable the uploading of tracking numbers?

After all what’s the point of them if Amazon does nothing with them.

I still upload. I have won / amazon funded a-z with 2d in the past. but even that’s now rare as tends to go straight for review or granted.

Same issue here, 40 to 50 emails a day. Amazon please do something about this, it is very time consuming to deal with these emails

So, does this late/refund message come up for orders with no tracking?

If it doesn’t, then what is the benefit of uploading RM delivery confirmations?

I am thinking of disabling the tracking number upload before I manifest this weekend orders.

If its non prime then dont be refunding any orders until such a time non delivery can be proven or they have returned order for a refund. If its the former bang a claim in to RM.

RM24/48 is a non insured product so no claiming unfortunately.

Coupled with (from my experience) about half of large letter format 2d barcodes not being scanned, I seem to be relying on buyers honesty for not claiming too any INRs
