Change the existing listing, which is currently set with the manufacturer barcode, to an Amazon barcode.

We mistakenly set a listing with the manufacturer barcode, and we attempted to update it from manufacturer barcode to Amazon barcode by deleting the listing and re-adding it later. However, it remained locked as a manufacturer barcode after re-listing. Despite successfully updating the barcode status using the previously mentioned method, it does not seem to work this time.

Upon reaching out to seller support, we were informed that we must change the SKU; otherwise, the update cannot be completed. Is this information accurate?Due to the presence of third-party sellers offering the same item, it is imperative for us to avoid any mixing with third-party sourced items. Any idea?
