Please help - I made an Amazon seller account and I'm confused

I am confused about Amazon seller please help.

I made an Amazon storefront and my central reporting is zero. Even though I have people viewing my page (I am not sure if they bought anything) So I made an Amazon seller account thinking this will fix the issue. I don’t actually have my own brand products I just want to recommend the items I bought from Amazon to get commission for it. Is that what an Amazon seller account does - recommend products I already purchased from Amazon? Please help I’m very confused

Not at all. An Amazon seller account does following:

1. You buy products from a brand, they give you a "Letter of Authorization" allowing you to sell on Amazon and they tell you WHERE (from which authorized distributor) you have to buy them

2. You create a listing for this product or join the existing listing

3. You send your products to Amazon

4. Amazon will sell and send the products to the customers

5. You get paid

Hi @Seller_gJnmTbyNBVHCo,

What you're looking for is called the Amazon Associates program. According to the Associates Program help page, this program lets you:

"earn up to 10% in referral fees on all qualifying Amazon.com revenue initiated through the links"

The process is pretty straightforward - once you join, you'll get access to Associates Central where you can create special tracking links for products you want to recommend. You can then monitor your traffic and earnings through daily reports, with payments sent quarterly.

To get started with the Associates program, you'll need to:

  1. Visit affiliate-program.amazon.com
  2. Complete the free online application
  3. Once approved, you can start creating your tracking links

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

Michael
