Access To Old Listing

I am writing to outline my current situation regarding an Amazon listing issue. Despite my efforts to engage Amazon’s support, I find myself navigating a series of unproductive responses. My company was previously owned by a different entity than the one currently managing our operations. The former partnership established an Amazon listing with the ASIN: B078SDZ3QG. Following our acquisition by another company, we now seek to reinstate our product on Amazon. A new listing has been created with the ASIN: B09ZVFXTTL; however, due to the differing ASIN numbers, I am unable to merge these two listings. I do not have access to the old listing, which prevents me from deactivating it. Additionally, while the old listing is still associated with our store, it remains invisible in our inventory. Therefore, I am requesting assistance in either removing the inaccessible old listing with ASIN: B078SDZ3QG, so that only our current listing remains active or in combining both product pages. Regrettably, I lack access to the old listing, and all contacts from the previous company have departed, leaving me unable to obtain the necessary email address related to the old listing.

We are also unable to register our business with the Brand registry because our old listing is using all of our infomaton. Could you please advise on the appropriate steps to resolve this matter and eliminate the old listing from my account?

Was the seller account of this "different entity" deactivated by Amazon? Or do YOU use actually that same seller account?

Hi @Seller_RPFDXdvCNp7FO,

I understand how frustrating it must be to deal with both the old listing and Brand Registry access issues. Let me share what I found in the help documentation that might help resolve this.

Since your trademark is already enrolled in Brand Registry, you can apply again with your trademark. During this process, you should see a special "Appeal Submission" form link - this is specifically designed for situations with inactive Administrators. You can find more details about this process in the "When trying to enroll my brand" section at Brand Registry FAQ.

If you happen to have other brands already enrolled in Brand Registry, there's another option: you can submit an "Update brand ownership" request through Brand Registry Support. This is mentioned in the same help page under "The current Administrator has left the company" section.

Once you gain Brand Registry access as Administrator, you'll be able to address the duplicate listings. The help page at Merge Duplicate Product Pages confirms that as a rights owner, you'll have the ability to merge the duplicate ASINs.

I hope this helps point you in the right direction! Let me know if you need any clarification.

Best regards, Michael

Hi there @Seller_RPFDXdvCNp7FO,

It sounds like @Seller_i6S8knzW6zU6Z was able to point you in the correct direction. Please note that you will only be able to merge ASINs if ALL the information, including the Brand are identical. If you have any difficulties please provide your most recent Seller Support Case and I will investigate further. Thank you for your understanding.
