VTR I know
So just to clarify. If you buy shipping through Amazon it doesn’t go against your VTR rate. It’s just that my VTR has dropped to 18% and I buy all my postage via Amazon. Surely this is wrong or am I doing something wrong

If you’re buying standard 1st and 2nd class only, they are exempt from vtr
So as each day passes, your new shipments are exempt, leaving only the old invalid ones on the report
Therefore your vtr will actually drop - eventually to 0%
However, after roughly 6 weeks of buying from BS, your vtr will change to n/a - which is acceptable

Basically VTR is a shambles. If you buy Royal Mail postage through Amazon it will be CRL which offers no protection for loss by Royal Mail, in fact Royal Mail could dump a bag of your CRL in the skip and you wouldn’t get a penny in compensation.
If you link your Click & Drop account to your Amazon account and buy 2nd Class BPL you will get all the tracking numbers and compensation for loss from Royal Mail, however Amazon doesn’t recognise BPL as valid for VTR. A laughable situation which Amazon has no answer for.

I sell on 3 platforms 1 is etsy. As this is currently dodgy I have put the etsy on holiday. I have a question re buy shipping.
I went to do a trial run. If I choose Monday dispatch, why does it mention Tuesday?
Do you just take it to the post office for 1stclass royal mail. Large letter.
Will it go that day like normal post.
I was dropping amazon but might need to keep this going. Cs cannot answer simple questions.

When I select Monday for dispatch on tge next but you see Tuesday at the next stage.
To answer the other question I use a franking machine normally. It isn’t hundreds. Items have to be customised so I could not cope with that number.
I will have to charge additional postage as franking is cheaper that amazon.

Previously the vast majority were dropped off in franking bags.

Mine would not be enough volume. I continue to send everything else franked. I have a 3year contract about a year in.
I’m nervous about using amazon buy shipping .I planned to stop amazon but the etsy issue which has been on the news today is very concerning. I thought amazon payouts were long enough.

I have a small brother label printer for addresses. Can I use that.
Still have the question. I choose Monday and next stage mentions Tuesday. What is that all about.

Thank you. Do you mean weigh every one even though they are all under 100gmss.
My max label is 2.5inches.
Can I assume you do buy shipping for 4 at a time And the stick them on with sellotape. This will be a close call for me. At the moment all I have to is stick the envelope under the franking machine and pop the address label on but of course postage for 1st class signed for franked is c £2.87. I’m taking a hit charging £2but on my cheap custom ribbons that is quite a lot.

Mine are mostly for funerals so I do have to send1st class. Need to get them there ASAP. I am sending around 10 to 30 each day on multiple platforms. Mostly under 100 gms franking admin just means address labels and frank the envelope.
This is a nightmare to me as profit is low on each item to compete and each order is finished qu.

But they should have gone after poir sellers. Mine had good feedback including fast elivery. Anyway thank you for your help. I have a eeal big decision to make because sticking labels on with sellotape will ge time-consuming and not even looking good.
Royal mail are very good with franked mail, I’m ust not confident they will treat this the same.
