Seller customer service gripe

Hello

Not sure if anyone can help me with this. It’s just curiosity more than anything.
Is there a seller help number for UK only?
We have a serious issue on our account and need help with it.
I called seller support and an Indian guy answered on a very muffled line. His accent was so thick I could hardly hear what he was saying. I was asking him to repeat so many times in the end I just had to hang up.
If you’re calling from the UK why can’t we at least speak to someone who speaks English as their native language.
I understand they now have a massive workforce and need to keep costs down.
However, I spoke with an ex-Amazon employee in America, and she said you spend so much time getting simple things done, it actually costs more time and money than if a USA or UK worker did the query in one go.
I mean our business is mainly Amazon focused, we need to operate as effectively as possible.
It really seems to me that Amazon is good for TWO things only: A lot of web traffic to their site, and they fulfil your orders. Everything else about Amazon is just awful, really really awful. It would be great if they had a decent competitor in this area. I’ve been on Amazon 8 years now. Hoping can sell the business before too long, and always recommend to anyone that asks, NOT to open an Amazon seller account.
