From what you are stating here is that your account has been found to be connected with another selling account.

Per Amazon's Seller Code of Conduct, all sellers may maintain one selling account unless there is a legitimate business need for multiple accounts. Such needs involve having a second brand or being recruited to join an Amazon program which requires a new selling account. Even when permitted to do so, all accounts must remain in good standing at all times. If one is deactivated, then all subsequent and linked accounts will also be deactivated and remain so until the root of the issue is resolved.

There are other ways accounts can be linked outside of a seller maintaining multiple accounts. A very common instance of this happening is when sellers register for global selling, which opens up 21 storefronts in other countries. The Code of Conduct and Multiple Accounts policy also applies to this instance as well, since all marketplaces can be seen as separate stores in a way. Each marketplace must be maintained in a healthy, active status at all times or there is the risk of all other marketplace accounts being deactivated too.

Another way this happens is when personal information and data is shared between two or more accounts. This can be anything from business address, phone number, or e-mail address, to internet connection, device, or other various details.

I suggest reaching out to any family member, friend, coworker, or employee to see if this connected account belongs to them. Please also consider the following question:

  1. Have you ever utilized any third parties to operate your selling account?
  2. Have you ever allowed someone else to access your account, even if it was once?
  3. Have you ever borrowed and logged in from a device that is not yours, or allowed someone else to use your device to login into their selling account?

Once you have determined the relationship between you and the other account, you will want to proceed in a way that depends on the nature of the relationship.

If you recognize this as an account you do own but have never used, please proceed with reactivating the account before submitting a reactivation request on your current account.

If the account is yours, but located on a different marketplace, please navigate to that marketplace and check the performance notifications for your next steps in reactivating

If this is the account of someone you know, please have them proceed with reactivating their account before you request reactivation.

If this is the account of someone you know or have previously employed, please provide exact details of who the person is, when you hired them or when the relationship started, what information has been shared between the accounts, what you have done to no longer be related to that account, and any documentation or relevant information to show the end of the relationship between your account and the other. You may include things such as contracts, termination agreements, and any proof that you had employed them if that is the case.

If you are unable to identify the account and the owner, you will need to provide information on how the deactivation and supposed relationship is incorrect. This can be anything to show proof that you are the one person who owns and operates your account, that you do not have more than the one account or business, and any other relevant information you can produce.

I also urge you to view this video in Seller University and let us know if you have further questions.

Stevie.
