Amazon US is not recognising my GTIN for my product lisiting
I need Amazon support on here for this issue.
I have uploaded my listings from Amazon UK to my US account and Amazon US has blocked one of the listings as they say they do not recognise the GTIN.
This listing uses my first GTIN 13 from my GS1 number bank and is also the same as the Global Location Number on my GS1 certificate.
Seller Support has continuously stated that the GTIN number is not valid and cannot be the same as a GLN.
This GTIN number has been used for the last 5 years in Amazon UK.
I have also contacted GS1 UK, who provided information to state that the GLN on my GS1 certificate will always be the first GTIN in my number bank, and it is a valid GTIN13 that scans at the point of sale. GS1 UK advised to send a screenshot of their email and to state that GS1 UK are confirming this.
Seller support is still refusing this and continues to state that a GTIN number cannot be the same as a GLN, regardless of proof of 5 years of operating on Amazon UK and direct information from GS1 UK.
I need Amazon to intervene as this makes zero sense. You require that we utilise GS1 barcodes, which I have done for 5 years with no issues in Amazon UK and then proceed to ignore direct information from the same GS1 organisation that you requested us to use for the barcodes.
The Case IDs are 16961258741 and 16989475461

Hello @Seller_R0w4I3PFmMIk5,
Thanks for posting to the Forums. I've reviewed the details of your cases and see that they're both open and actively being worked on by Seller Support. Please allow the team time to review this and get back to you with an update. If you see that the case resolves later and still need help, let me know here and I'll look into seeing what options exist for escalation.
Regards,
- Manny

As a final summary, after 4 weeks of unnecessary back and forth, they reinstated the listing. There was no admission of being at fault. Amazon needs to better train its GTIN team on GS1 procedures as it was nothing short of a stressful and time wasting activity with seller support.
