3D Model in GLB/GLTF for your products - 3D Models replacing 360-degrees images

As we all know amazon replace 360 degrees images with 3d Models now. I am sharing my experience about how I got my 3D Model made for my product as per Amazon's Guidelines.

- Take around 10-15 images of your product with your phone and a short video showing the product all around. Compile any Logos/labels and Packaging pdf files in one folder.

- Hire a 3D Artist(You can use freelance websites to hire 3d artists). Personally I hired a design agency named "CADit3D". You can google them. Not allowed otherwise I would have attached the link to their website directly.

- Communicate that you need GLB file with following specs:

  • Triangles less than 1000K
  • Preferred 3D Software: Blender
  • Remove camera attributes before exporting

In my case guys from CADIt3D already knew these base requirements.

- Send the 3D Artist the pictures and files and get them the pricing. In my case it cost me around 250USD.

- The process takes around a week on avg I think. Mine took around 3 days.

- Once you got the GLB file, upload it on your listings and see if it validates which it will if the artist followed those 3 requirements I shared above.

So yeah this was my experience and I wanted to share it as I could not find any useful info at forum or any proper discussion about 3D Models feature. So if you guys need 3d models for your products, just follow the exact same process and you will be able to have the perfect ready to use 3d files for your brand.
