Gated Again
I've been selling on Amazon since 2014. Over the last 10 years I have sold 500+ Lego sets through FBA. All of a sudden I'm gated from listing Lego sets and have not gotten a straight answer. I called seller support (who was rude) and they said Amazon routinely gates certain items for "safety and to ensure customer satisfaction". What does that even mean? It would also be nice to talk to someone who is from the USA when I have an account that spends thousands on PPC and Amazon fees each month. Now I have to list and ship 200+ Lego sets on eBay individually this Q4. Amazon needs to start learning how to treat their sellers like they do their customers.

The rules for selling branded product are evolving and changing. Do you have authorization from Lego?

Good Afternoon @Seller_WY7ln5hzS4YZV,
I wanted to stop by and let you know that I have escalated your recent CASE IDs filed with support to one of our internal teams to review.
As @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9 alluded to, one of the best ways to appeal these situations is to have an Letter of Authorization (LOA) from the brand. If you happen to have one, I would recommend having it handy so it can make the appeal process possibly smoother.
I will let you know when the partner team gets back to us with an update on the investigation. Until then, have a wonderful rest of your Wednesday and take care.
Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon

Good Evening @Seller_WY7ln5hzS4YZV,
I heard back from the partner team that it appears while you may have been approved in the past, as the Amazon catalog grows, we continuously make new determinations on which products should be restricted, which is based on a number of factors. Amazon does this to ensure authenticity and customer satisfaction. You can find a link to the policy here.
At this time, the only way to be able to list these items is if there is an option to Apply to Sell through Seller Central or if you have an established relationship with the brand to have them add you to their approved authorized reseller list through Brand Registry.
I know this is not the news that you were hoping for but at least we were able to have a second pair of eyes review the case. Please let me know if you have any questions about the outcome of this case.
Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
