I’m dealing with an ongoing issue regarding Remote Fulfillment enrollment for three ASINs, which remain ineligible for the program in Canada and Mexico. My main competitor is having their exact products sold via Remote Fulfillment in Canada and apparently don’t have these same issues. I am looking for support to help resolve whatever the issue is (if it is a category issue, or a setting issue, or whatever it is) so I can list my products in Canada just like my competitor).
Attempts to Resolve:
1. Initial inquiry: (Case ID 17276841651) Raised the issue about a week ago, with no clear explanation for the ineligibility of these three ASINs. I chatted with multiple agents about the errors I was receiving when using the “Build International Listing” tool. The error was “Unable to create an offer for this ASIN in this destination. Please see the details below.”
Reasons:
• There is no offer in the destination marketplace. An offer must be present in the marketplace to become available for sale.
• ASINs have import/export/export restrictions that prevent the product from being sole in the selected country.
Instructions:
• You can create an offer for this SKU in your store, so customers can see and buy your item. We recommend you use Build Your International Listing (BIL) to replicate your source offers into the destination store.
• Please contact seller support in case you wish to understand more and dispute the restriction.
Multiple agent responses under this ticket as I went back and forth multiple times with multiple agents. Some had me create new ASINs, which I had already done and that did not work. Then one had me delete all the ASIN’s I had created and do it again. When I did that I asked about the inventory setup, because there had never been a remote fulfillment option, just FBM and FBA. He said to us FMB this time and them we would convert it to FBA afterwards. So, I did that and it caused a mess. All of my inventory for that ASIN was stranded and was not for sale on the US side. I did not know it until I saw my sales were tanking and then I saw it was not for sale as it had no inventory. So, I had to get that resolved.
2. Amazon’s response: After follow-ups, I was told there were no CBC restrictions preventing enrollment.
3. Case ID 17309352661 – After chatting with yet another agent about setting this up and going through the same things, it is sent to someone else and another ticket is created. Before the agent left, I asked them to look at one of my competitors on the Canada site, as they sell the same product and are using Remote Fulfillment. Could he tell me how they are doing it. Are they listed in a different category? Did they list a different way? What was the difference? I sent him a link and he said he would ask they to look at it in the ticket. I received generic response from support that did not answer, and did not address the competitor’s listing at all.
Despite following all the proper channels and receiving conflicting advice, the problem persists. I'm frustrated by the lack of communication and knowledge of Remote fulfillment.
I just want to sell my products in Canada and make money for myself and Amazon. If my competitor can do it, I should be able to do it as well. I just need someone to tell me what changes I need to do on my end to make this happen (if it is something on my end). It can be done, as my competitor is doing it). I just wasn’t to do it as well.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.
