It’s probably correct yes - without knowing the category and dimensions involved.

Also I am getting confused with FBA as it says my listings are inactive and out of stock as I wait for them to be picked up by UPS. Does this change once they have been shipped?

As has already been stated, try Small & Light, the vast majority of our products are enrolled into this program and we’ve had a great experience of it… So far.

Just to note that even if you do enrol in s&l, after fees you get approx £1.15
Does that cover the cost of your item, overheads and required profit ?

Yes, I have flagged up before that when I sell knitting patterns for £2 plus £2.80 postage (=£4.80) then Amazon’s fees are £2.39 which is 50%!!! the words Daylight and Robbery come to mind! Of course, as some JB fans have pointed out - I don’t have to sell here. BUT Amazon seem to have cornered the market. Let’s not call it a monopoly yet!!

Just to note though OP, you have no listings in uk - so are these eu sales and fees ?!

Its highly recommended you use the FBA calculator before listing the product price.

Good timing with this thread as I am considering joining FBA with some of my items. Could anyone with experience please confirm some info for me? Would appreciate it tons!
I have mostly small letters or even letter size. 16cm x 12cm x 0.5cm -30grams and 20cm x 15cm x 2.5cm- 50 grams including the envelope.
Are the prices attached current? So would I then pay 60p (+VAT) so 72p and 80p + VAT = 96p ? That would be comparable to Royal Mail so especially with the VTR considerations, it may be well worth it, if you can confirm that at the end of the day that’s the actual postage cost. ?
Also, do I send those items already packaged in plastic envelopes with the bar codes attached just on the package? Or do they need to actually see the product and package it themself, because if done incorrectly or using the thick cardboard envelopes they do, the weight/ dimensions of the envelope would be way bigger?

This is why you shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket. Amazon has policy very unfavourable to sellers and can lock you out at anytime for any reason. Furthermore the payment are extremely slow and take over a month, whereas shopify pays you instantly. Amazon is earning interest on holding my funds. Product I bought in July are selling in November and I still don’t have the funds - 6 month of ordering, shipping, advertising and still waiting for the money.

Ebay is much cheaper and you don’t have to do pesky refunds on ebay. Amazon send out my beautiful products in luxury packaging, the customer returns it with damaged packaging then amazon expects me to pick up the costs of shipping it to my house, waiting in all day for 1 product that was returned to be delivered, then i have to take the loss and hassle and expense!
