This is good news, many of the Amazon’s current practices are unacceptable for third party sellers and would be viewed as unfair business practices, such as automatically granting all A-Z claims with a full refund and no option to respond.
Here is a similar thread which I recently posted:
14.02.19 EU new legislation to improve fairness of online platforms' trading practices.

Also amazon use sellers as a free sourcing service.
Seller has great selling product.
Suddenly Amazon find reason for seller to send invoices for product.
Hey Presto within weeks Amazon are selling same product that gets restricted.

I notice the investigation is due to end on 31 october.
I think there might be some rather bigger news items dominating on that day…
[incidentally - I came here from the link Kika posted on the closed thread. Unfortunately, it was a link to sellercentral-europe and clicking on it logged me out of my current connection to sellercentral.amazon.co.uk - as usual…]

does that mean, that when amazon constantly appear and are dominant in BUYBOX, this could change?

Always wondered how Amazon decides which products to sell??

I wouldn’t bet against the marketplace business being seperated from the manufacturing/retail division.

Just reading the revised terms on claims for customer service issues…
S-3.2 A-to-z Guarantee. If we inform you that we have received a claim under the “A-to-z Guarantee” offered on a particular Amazon Site or any other dispute (relating to the offer, sale or fulfillment of Your Product(s) (other than a chargeback), concerning one of Your Transactions, you will have 30 days (to appeal our decision of the claim. If we find that claim, chargeback, or dispute is your responsibility, you (i) will not take recourse against the customer, and (ii) are responsible for reimbursing APE or APUK (as applicable);
This is still unfair to sellers if we are not at fault but amazon still refunds the customer.
F.9.2. We will be responsible for all customer service issues relating to packaging, handling and shipment and customer returns, refunds and adjustments related to Amazon Fulfilment Units. We will determine whether a customer will receive a refund, adjustment or replacement for any Amazon Fulfilment Unit and we will require you to reimburse us where we determine you have responsibility in accordance with the Business Solutions Agreement
Isn’t this just reworded and not changed at all??? So for example an A-Z claim that Amazon refunds, we will be liable for the refund still even if it’s not our fault!!!
