UPC vs FNSKU on product label - New seller

Hi, I am a new private label seller sending my first shipment to Amazon. I only plan to sell on Amazon. I wanted to ask what is the most efficient / best way. I can apply for GTIN exemption and only put the FNSKU on my product label? Is this the correct way of doing this?

Can I print the FNKSU directly on my product label instead of manually attaching FNKSU to each unit ?!

Thank you!

Hi @Seller_vrRMbl6mqPhBL,

Thanks for posting to the Forums. Per the FBA product barcode requirements, you should be able to put the FNSKU, which is an Amazon barcode, on your product label. In fact, it must be applied to all products that are not tracked using the manufacturer barcode, after getting the GTIN Exemption. You will want to verify that your product isn't already registered in the GS1 database. Check out Use Amazon barcodes to track inventory for more details.

You will also find the Seller University video Packaging, prep, and labelling requirements helpful to guide you into how to apply your FNSKU to your unit.

Have a great day.
