third party FBA prep.

I am just starting my first order and for that, I am planning to take a third-party prep service. The prep company is asking to add a secondary user with the required permissions (Manage FBA inventory/Shipment, Manage inventory/Add product, Upload inventory) for them to handle my inventory.

Is it common for a prepping company to request a secondary account? Is it safe to do so?
