Do I need to close down my business?
Hello everyone,
After leaving college I lost access to my email address which I used for my Amazon account (both seller and merchant) This meant that I had to change the login and notification details which I did.
Therefore my login and notifications were changed to my new email. No problems. However in seller central when I go to “user permissions” it still shows that my college email is attached to my seller account.
I will repeat again that I have changed my notification settings and my login details so there is no need to change this. What I need to be able to do it change the email address associated with the account so that I can access sensitive information using an email I can actually access.
Speaking to amazon on the phone no one really understands what to do and some have suggested it won’t be a problem, others have said I will need to create a whole new business and close down my current one.

Did you have a buying account with the same email address? If so, call CUSTOMER support and ask them to change it there and it may well update your seller account also. No promises but this worked for me with a phone number when my OTP was being sent to a phone I no longer had.

Have you tried contacting the college and seeing if they can “open” your email address so that you can have access to it again, even if only for a couple days.
