Amazon shipping credit

Can someone explain to me what the amazon shipping credit is. Do I get this automatically once I sell an item or do I need to request it. I’ve tried to request it but can’t seem to do it. I’ve tried asking amazon but they don’t answer the question properly as per usual
Thanks

Hi
A shipping credit is a pre-determined amount varying category to category. It is automatically credited and paid to you after the item is sold.
This is only a contribution towards postage and in many cases does not cover the actual cost of sending, in which case as an individual seller you can compensate by increasing the cost of your product. Whereas a professional seller is able to change their shipping charges (delivery prices).

The shipping credits are basically your postage allowances, which will be applied to all orders when you are an Individual Seller. Professional Sellers are able to set their own shipping costs.

The funds will be credited to you immediately after items get sold, but they will be added to your account’s unavailable balance, since you are a new seller. You will still need to wait weeks to get paid.
