Does Amazon link your seller account due to sellerboard app?

My seller central account has been deactivated due to link with another account. We don't know how it was linked and totally unaware of that account.

I'm using sellerboard app, So can it be a potential reason of account link and then deactivation?

No.

Sellerboard is like an invited user. Invited users can be a part of multiple Amazon accounts without any kind of conflict.

I would suggest thinking of situations you may have forgotten about. Maybe you tried registering for Amazon years ago...or maybe you have been accessing the same computer that another Amazon seller uses to sell on.

I understand your account has been deactivated due to being related to another account. I would like to provide further insight to the applicable policies here.

Amazon's Seller Code of Conduct and Multiple Accounts policy, all sellers are expected to maintain only one selling account unless there is a legitimate business need to maintain multiple account. Legitimate business needs refer to having a separate brand or being recruited for an Amazon program which requires a new selling account. When permitted to have multiple accounts, all must remain in good standing. If one account is not in good standing and becomes deactivated, all related accounts will also be deactivated.

This can also expand to other marketplaces as @Seller_J46Ruz3VzvWCVhas stated. Did you sign up for the global selling program? I suggest double checking your build international listings page to see what other marketplaces linked to your main account.

This policy is also applicable when personal information and other data are shared between multiple accounts. For example, if two accounts have the same business address, phone number, or even share an internet connection, then it is assumed that the two accounts are generally owned and operated by the same person.

In terms of your next steps, you need to first identify the other account and determine to whom it belongs if it is not an account you created in order to determine the pathway you must utilize to reactivate the account. Was the store name provided to you in the performance notification you received?

Consider the following questions-

  • Have you ever shared your account information with someone else?
  • Have you ever logged onto the same computer or device as someone else who has a selling account?
  • Have you ever utilized further 3rd parties to operate your account?
  • Do you have any friends, family members, coworkers, or employees who might own the account?

You will want to further investigate as those questions are not the only ones to consider how the accounts became related. These are designed to start your investigation for possibly identifying the account.

As for further steps to address the account deactivation, please view the following video in Seller University, Addressing a Multiple Accounts policy violation.

As always, do not hesitate to further provide updates and questions here. The forums community and I are here to support you.

All the best,

Stevie
