Tracking
I am new to selling on Amazon & have been posting order with Royal Mail 2nd class signed for & have been entering the reference number into the tracking. However Amazon is saying there is no valid tracking on most of my orders. Can I just not put in a tracking number or will that mark me down to? Also is a Royal mail ref number not valid tracking?

Are you using the correct drop down on the list of names/services, when you send out an item?
Tracking numbers will be the numbers you should use rather than reference numbers.
If easier you could buy through buy shipping on Amazon, then you know at least the VTR will be correct.

You do not need to send everything tracked, that is not what VTR is all about, and is a waste of money for low value items under about £20. The reference number on the PO receipt should be entered with no spaces and hyphens.
Depending on what you are sending, if small parcel size then it is 50p cheaper to use Amazon 'Buy Shipping' than purchasing at the PO, and your VTR will automatically be validated as they automatically enter the info when you purchase the shipping label.

For Amazon to acknowledge you have posted your item, you must enter the tracking number that way all parties are aware the package is on the way.

I pop the delivery confirmation number into the 'seller notes' box on the right of the order details page as the labels disappear after 30 days and you cant pull them up to check. Amazon seller support have accepted this as valid tracking and reversed an item not received case.
