Urgent Help with a possible Fraud.

Hello all.

Buyer purchased an expensive item that we sell for $2000. This item is big and heavy so we have to ship it via Freight which costs us around $500 to ship. The first purchase they did not include a telephone number which we thought was odd, we reached out to to the buyer via messaging requesting a telephone number for delivery ( this is needed to process the shipment via freight) buyer never answered so we had to cancel the order.

Buyer then repurchases the item again, no telephone number left again so we are starting to doubt this order again but can't keep cancelling. We contact Amazon but no help was given, send the buyer messages for telephone number but no message was ever answered.

We do a little online searching and were able to locate and get a telephone number for the buyer, contact them and were able to confirm all but everything seemed a little fishy.

The item was shipped via Freight but in the back of my mind I knew this was not going to go smoothly. Item was delivered and as soon as it was delivered buyer requests a return stating the item was not what the thought( Return reason was:( Inaccurate website description)

We already sent the buyer a prepaid return Bill of Lading to return the item back to us and instructions not to use a USPS label ( USPS would never accept that label anyway because this item weighs 350 pounds.

The problem: Amazon issued a prepaid return label ( A USPS $ 4.93 return label) for an item weight less than a pound).

I believe the buyer is going to return an envelope and the item will be refunded on First scan.

We will then be out of $2000 plus Freight shipping of $500 that we spent to send the item?

This has not happened yet but I'm 99% sure this is what's going to take place.

How can we protect ourselves? I already opened a case with Amazon but doubt they will do anything to cancel their return label.

Any Advise?
