If i could get back all the money i have lost here for fraudulent returns it would almost outweigh my profits.
I have 5 online stores on 3 different platforms. Only on amazon do i get non stop returns for item defective, bought by mistake (no clue how this happens), or innaccurate website description (buyers here must be illiterate because they never read the item details on used items) . All of which are nonsense especially the defective item bs. You know how i know my items are not defective? I test every single item i list. Every one that comes back is NEVER defective. At a minimum of $9.48 loss per return (and that is for the 4oz or less packages) it is getting very expensive and not worth not testing every item. Not to mention the lost time on the ridiculous safe t claim process that gets denied 90% of the time. I used to have an over all net profit of around 40% for the year pretty consistently but not anymore despite adding fresh inventory everyday and am buy box eligible. Constantly fighting the algorithm for visibility. Orders throttled every week. I can literally see the throttling. It is the same every pay period. As soon as i reach a certain dollar amount in sales all orders stop until about an hour after my money gets dispersed then the orders start in again. It impossible for that to happen without some kind of outside interference.
I have been here 12 yrs full time. Between the stupidity typed above, the ever rising postage and seller fees and the ongoing, non stop, forever piling up, absolute non sense you have to put up with here is becoming less and less worth it as the years go on.

And that is because Amazon allows it's buyers to cheat, scam, and defraud sellers. All because of the RFS Program.

I am a Full FBM seller using Amazon CSBA for the past 14 months and have been paying 12 cents per order for support. Amazon does issue a lot of refunds but being my FBM are under CSBA program, i can file Safe-t claims with 75% success rate on reimbursement approval.
Yes does every single claim get denied on first try? just about. It may take 3-4 responses in which claim but 75% success.
I would never go FBA as my product would not be handled properly.
