APASS Packaging Program

Here’s the content of an email I received this morning from one of my packaging suppliers (Bold as per email):

Are you compliant with Amazon’s new APASS Packaging Program?

If you sell your products on Amazon, you might have heard about APASS, Amazon’s new frustration-free packaging program.

From 1st October, products sold through Amazon that exceed any of the following dimensions 45.5 x 34 x 26.5 cm or weigh 12.3kg or more must be tested and certified under the scheme. Failure to comply will result in a fine of £1.50 unit shipped.

There is nothing on the forum, help or recent announcements.

Testing and certification of all our products which fall into any of those categories would cost a fortune. I assume it is a per seller per ASIN certification.

Anyone in the know on this?
