Product not searchable

I am using this forum as I do not seem to get anywhere with Amazon seller support, maybe someone could help with this. We have a product listed on Amazon and we had no problem with the searchability until 2 weeks ago, when we noticed that the product name with the keywords that we used in the back end (Manage my inventory) was not coming up. I lost track of the number of times that I called caller support to find out the reason why, they kept coming back to me and telling me each time that the ASIN was searchable. At first, I did not quite understand until 2 days ago when I called again and the guy I was talking to told me that he could search it as well, so I asked him what he was putting in the search area and he told me that he was putting the ASIN number! I explained to him how could a potential customer know the Asin no. when they search for our product and that it should try and search for the product name, which he did and the results came up no searchable so he could not find our product. I am trying to make Amazon aware that the product should be searchable by the product name which I did put in my keywords but they do not seem to get it and keep asking me to clear my cache & cookies or use a different search engine, but as I’ve explained to them many times, it is not only me that cannot search for the product, all of my colleagues and friends cannot see it on Amazon when they search for the product name. The weird thing is that up to 2 weeks ago there was not issue with the searchability of this particular product so, I wonder what has changed since? We haven’t had any sales for this product since. Could someone help me on this? I would be so grateful. I am dreading phoning seller support again but until this issue is resolved I haven’t got any choice. Big thanks.

Could you post here the ASIN so someone can check it for you?

This has been the norm in books and media (BMVD) for the last few years.

I have hundreds of ASINs that do not show in normal title search.

My first thought is that the title needs a lot more relevant keywords in it. Not easy to fix unless you own the listing though.

Incidentally I gave up after the first three pages or so having failed to spot it.

Thanks Kika, a case of brain fade on my behalf I think as I knew that!.

80 Characters dos relate to something though - I will rememeber in time!

Hi All,

We have a new listing, which is not searchable on Amazon.de and we are not sure what the issue is.

Any ideas?

If you click on the link it will show, however there is no other way to ‘organically’ find it.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Ben

We have made several new listings they are not showing in search, Amazon help centre tell me there is no browsing Node attached to the listings and thats why they do not show in results. I have never had any problems before but these are the first listings I have made with the new listings page that Amazon now use. Did you use the new or old product creation pages?
Maybe this is a problem with their new template…
