Why are PPC keywords so high for a $30 product?

I sell a product for approx. $30. The keywords that I used to bid on were usually $1 now the cost of these keywords have jumped to $5 and up to $9. What is going on with the cost for PPC keywords? Does Amazon realize that if your product price is $30, there's no way we can afford to pay almost $10 for a click? I think that the cost per click on Amazon is insanely high. Can someone shed some light on this issue and explain to me 's going on? I won't be able to sell anything here if I have to pay such insane costs for PPC. I need help understand this please!!

Hello @Seller_aeMCeTQjyS6tC,

Thank you for utilizing the forums!

The PPC is associated to the popularity or demand for the niche/category in which your product exists.

If you have a moment please go over the Amazon Ads Learning Console material, you might be able to find some helpful information.

Cheers,

Joey
