Changing listing from Generic to Brand
Has anyone any tips for getting Generic changed to our Brand name as i am going round in circles!!!
We are registered with Brand registry but we cannot get this changed despite many responses from Seller cCentral doing all that they say and sending over all paperwork asked for.
When we listed the products we were told to list as generic and they would edit the Brand name once we had Brand Regsistry, they will now not do this. We were then told to delete all listings and relist and we would be able to add our Brand but this doesn't work as we receive the error that our EAN's are already linked with another ASIN
It's driving me crazy that something that should be quite simple to do with all the evidence we have provided is proving impossible. we have other products listed under this Brand name which makes it even more crazy!!!

Unfortunately amazon have become a lot stricter recently on what data can and cannot be changed once an ASIN is in the system. Unfortunately, Brand is one of them.
We can never get brand changed, no matter what we try. I think others have had some success, but its very much through luck with the agent at the other end than by design.
Sadly, I think the only route might be to create new ASINs.

I managed to change a couple of mine using Flat File last week. Youtube how to do it. Its fairly straight forward but can be hit or miss. I actually tried it again today with another product and it wouldnt work so very hit or miss.
Hit or miss is considerably better odds than trying to open a ticket with senseless support

download new file where the brand name will populate as you got brand registry and then use ASIN as a product ID instead of EAN number select the respective asin and then update the file where the variation theme is mentioned. upload it hope it will work

It's a rubbish situation, but you wont be able to add your brand now.
Unfortunately SS give a lot of poor advice, and this would be one of them. Once you list a product as generic or under a brand, that attribute cannot then be changed.
You would have been better off waiting until brand registered before createing the listing. The only thing you can do now, is list with a new EAN and start from scratch but attach your brand this time.

Hi
It wont happen i am brand regestired had a product that was our brand a chinese seller hijacked my best selling item and changed the brand to there brand got me kicked off the listing with a policy violation but Amazon wouldnt change back to us even though our brand was still in the Title, from when they started putting brands at the beginning of all titles and we provided lots of evidence that it was changed by the seller who reported us including historical sale data

I did it!!!! Persistence paid off and we now have our products listed under our brand. It was hard work and we went round and round in circles
