How Amazon deals with false A-Z Claims
So I have been selling on amazon for a number of years now, has anyone noticed how amazon seem to have a zero tolerance on AZ claims now. Basically they refund the customer no matter the reason or evidence you supply?
For example I have had several claims over the last weeks or so, one customer stating the items was too big, amazon refunded her and charged me! Surely that should be a return request?
I appealed and supply my return details to amazon and the customer and guess what they upheld the decision!
Another example which is the most common, I send the item scan delivery tracked and it arrived on time and was correct, it showed delivered on the royal mail tracking system, gave the time/date and the royal mail depo it was delivered from. Yet even with this evidence and the tracking number logged on the amazon system, guess what?! Amazon yet again refund the customer and charge me for the privilege! I got these false claims probably 2 or 3 times per weeks and amazon refund the buyer every time, even after I appeal and copy the tracking details, there reply is I am not providing enough evidence.
These customer more often then not are committing fraud just to get a few freebies, no other selling forum would let these people get away with this and I doubt if amazon was selling its own products they would let them get away with it.
They just seem to focus purely on our customers no matter what and it feels they do not give two shits about us subsellers. Time to find another platform to sell. I here groupon and woucher are starting to over take amazon.

Unfortunately, there is currently a new way how Amazon is handling the majority of A-Z claims.
They get automatically granted as “Seller Funded” with an instant full refund issued to the buyer and a defect recorded against your metrics.
The only thing you can do is appeal through the A-Z claim form by clicking on the “Appeal” button and submitting a representation, which can be based on the example templates included in my A-Z claim guide thread:
Also, we discussed the policy change in this topic:

We all (most of us anyway) feel your pain We’re all being affected in the same way and it is pretty galling.
If you’re unhappy with their services then moving to another platform as you have stated is a good idea.
I hope it works out for you, but just know you’re not alone in your frustration.

We’ve just fallen foul overnight to our first A-Z in 6 months, tracking shows delivered,
What gets me is ebay accept the tracking as being valid amazon do not, so basically the scammers will simply move across to amazon, we’ve not lost a single case on ebay since uploading the royal mail delivery confirmation, what we also do is check with royal mail the GPS coordinates, I have found that some parcels have been delivered to the wrong street and on those occasions we resend,
had our first negative for 7 months from another customer and first A-Z decided in the buyers favour both overnight and both show delivered

It’s funny as well on the flip side of the argument a buyer claimed to have returned an item which I had not received, when I asked for a tracking number none was provided. The customer then opens an AZ, guess what amazon refunds them and again charges me!
Were is the logic, they treat us like shit and have double standards.

This is absolutely ridiculous and I am currently facing the same issue. Sent a pre-paid label to customer for return and customer has claimed they haven’t seen the item and they have actually sent the item back to us. Only because they were being impatient for us to get the item back customer was refunded.
Amazon honestly need to do more and we do have the power to make change happen, but we are all too selfish or scared to fight for what will benefit us in the long run. Imagine if all UK 3rd Party sellers turn off for just a day - the power automatically comes to us. AZ needs us as much as we need them.
