Step by step small & light fba shipment guide?

Hello

Is there a step by step guide specifically for creating a small and light shipment please? I’m aware of the S&L guidelines here but it doesn’t actually cover the process of creating the shipment.

I’ve created a test shipment from the options available but these only mention FBA, no mention of S&L (perhaps it’s the same process?). I have some questions regarding this process…

  1. I have one SKU. There are two ‘Item Pkg. Type’… ‘Individual products’ and ‘Case-packed items’. I think I should select case-packed items, however my product is not in a case, they will be placed in plastic bag(s) and this will be sent in a box.

  2. The guidelines state ‘you must apply a unique, scannable FBA label which contains the FNSKU’, but where do I find the ‘FNSKU’ lable please? The only lable I can find is on the ‘Review shipment contents’ page. Is this the ‘FNSKU’ lable?

  3. How many units can I place into one plastic bag? I understand there is a minimum 24 units required for S&L, but is there a maximum per bag policy?

  4. I should place one FNSUK lable on each plastic bag, and then on each bag I should place another blank lable and write the total number of units for that bag. Is this correct?

If there is anything I’ve missed, or any other important information I need to know, your help will be greatly appericated thank you.

Have you enroled your sku’s in the SNL program? https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/fba/programs/snl/feeds?ref_=asuk_fba_snl_bl_enroll&ld=NSGoogle_UA&
Shipment creation is identical to a normal FBA shipment
1.Individual products.
2.There is a print labels page during the create shipment process or you can print labels without creating a shipment.Manage FBA Inventory>tick sku box>from drop down menu top left select Print Labels.
3. No limit.
4. Yes or if theres room write the number on the FNSKU label.
Its is advisable to label every item in the bag with an FNSKU label.

Make sure when the destination FC appears its one of the SNL FC’s EUKA,EUKB,EUKC,EUKD,LTN4 (try to avoid EUKB its a black hole!)

we tend to only have 1 SKU per shipment box and label each item. So far, we had very little issue with S&L.

Also we tried not to send more than 1 box per shipment and stopped worry about which warehouse it is going to any more. It will get there eventually. Just spread the stock out a bit more ourselves when sending in.

When you converted your item to FBA (and after you enrolled it) there should have been a tick box (except it’s a blob) to choose between standard FBA and Small and Light.

Does your stuff have a barcode? Mine does so I don’t apply an FNSKU label to each individual product but I am the only seller. If you don’t have a barcode it’s probably advisable to put one on each, not least of all in case someone thinks the offering is a bag of 50!

I have only had one shipment go to EUKB and there were no problems. I would suggest though that EUKD is a fulfilment centre to avoid. I have had good results recently from EUKA and LTN4.

How important is the plastic bag? I will also have just 1 SKU in 1 box with about 300 units. What if I just leave them in the box, put the quantity label on the box and send it in like that? Has anyone tried that? I mean I CAN kind of put the units in a plastic bag and then the box, just wondering if it really is necessary. Thanks.

Thanks guys

I currently have my new SKU for FBA SNL which is currently ‘Out of Stock’. Should I ‘Close listing’ until I’ve had a chance to send in stock? In other words, are there any detrimental affects of keeping listing open which is out of stock?
