Amazon Marketplace Fair Pricing Policy: Review your shipping prices

Anyone else get an email today with the subject line seen in the title of this post? Want to make sure they aren’t actually claiming we have a violation. They have done that before on the US marketplace, and been totally wrong about it (guaranteed 2 day shipping from FedEx in the United States [all 50 states even] for 8.50 USD, when the list price from FedEx is MUCH higher). Wondering if this is just a general reminder rather than a pre-warning.

We received it as well, we sell all products as FBA so couldn’t understand why we got it. I think its a general mailshot to all sellers

Yep just got one too and I haven’t changed any shipping prices, I just use Amazons own pricing structure so assume it’s a general email to act as a reminder to everyone.

We have also got the email.

Very ambiguous as to whether or not it is targeted at you personally as a seller.

We haven’t changed our prices for standard postage for years and never had any problems in the past with buyers complaining about high postage charges. After Amazon have taken their cut, there is certainly no profit in our postage charges.

Got one and don’t even sell on Amazon any more, go figure, typical unqualified nonsense from Amazon.

Yes I received one today, I offer free delivery on all my products at the exception of 2 days delivery service and 1 day delivery service. Is this a system error should I be worried?

Got one too, and the page where you adjust shipping rates has a red ‘technical error’ banner at the top. Gotta be a slip-up on Amazon’s part.

Yes we got one. Personally I think it is to make sellers panic. We sell all products with free shipping and the first thing I done was to check the email it came from, then I started wondering has somebody changed my free settings. Lastly I thought I’ll check in the forums. Just putting it down to Amazon sending an email to everybody not using there internal system to check to see who the email should actually be sent to.

I got one too, and like others here I offer free shipping.

So I’m wondering now that if Free Shipping is now considered excessive and a violation of Amazon Marketplace Fair Pricing Policy, should I start offering to Pay customers to place orders?
