Why is no one talking about GPSR?
The EU boards are full of it.
Currently Amazon are expecting me to upload around 48,000 photos and 8,000 DOCs by the 13th of December.
The portal for uploading doesn't work properly at the moment.
I have no idea if the brands can do it or if I have to do it all.

What? That's totally wrong. That's like saying the UK Gov can't stop us buying guns from the US and importing them to here.
I have just had a very long conversation with Amazon about the way they have implemented GPSR. It is being done at a seller/product level.
Every seller has to provide the information for every product. It is not possible for the manufacturer to do it for all sellers.
On the 13th of December any seller who has not provided the information will have their listings blocked. If no sellers have provided the information then the listing will be removed.
There will also be an impact on AHR from the 13th of December.
I appreciate what your saying, have they not been asking for the documents before ? for our store, we have been asked for DoCs for the past three years across multiple platforms ?

There were around 900 for us, which took some time.
It depends on whether the brands are going to do it or not.
If the brand owns the listing i,e, they created it then they should be providing it for everyone, however, you have to factor in that there maybe many cases where a product has been added and the brand dont sell on amazon or contribute to it.
In that case, you would need to ask them for the details.
If they dont provide it or you cant then I believe the listing will be removed
What is the process for finding out if you have product that is affected?
Or is it ALL product affected? (Outside of Toys / food looking items etc)
Also, is anyone talking about GHS?

Hello @Seller_5zjHJu11xqGmN,
UK is out of GPSR scope and therefore no need to comply with regulation. All EU Marketplaces are affected by GPSR.
Kind regards,
Sarah.
Where is Northern Ireland?
I can only assume at this point that Amazon UK don't require you to update anything on the UK side of things. However, you should, as a business still be compliant with GPSR for Northern Ireland.
You can't of course - as there's no way to 'display the Responsible Person and manufacturer’s name and contact details, including the postal and electronic address, in online listings.'
Again, the GPSR policy page is at odds with itself @Sarah_Amzn. Why can no-one at amazon understand this? How exactly are amazon going to comply on Amazon UK in the case of say...an Amazon Kindle?
Hello @Seller_ZJhFeE3tNKzfh,
please find below the answer form the partner team:
"Under GPSR, it's important to look at the order creation country, not the destination country as order creation country indicates the exact county where listing takes place. UK is not a part of EU therefore if the order is created on amazon.co.uk and sent to NI, that order doesn't need to comply with GSPR. If the order has been created in any other Amazon EU MPs and sent to NI, those listings will need to comply with GPSR. "
Please feel free to reach out if you need any additional clarification. I will be happy to follow up with the partner team.
Kind regards,
Sarah
Point 21 of the directive states...
"In the case of a product offered for sale online or through other means of distance sales, the product should be considered to have been made available on the market if the offer for sale is targeted at consumers in the Union. In line with the applicable Union rules on private international law, a case-by-case analysis should be carried out in order to establish whether an offer is targeted at consumers in the Union. An offer for sale should be considered to be targeted at consumers in the Union if the relevant economic operator directs, by any means, its activities to a Member State. For the case-by-case analyses, relevant factors, such as the geographical areas to which dispatch is possible, the languages available, used for the offer or for ordering, means of payment, the use of currency of the Member State or a domain name registered in one of the Member States should be taken into consideration. In the case of online sales, the mere fact that the economic operators’ or the providers of online marketplaces’ interface is accessible in the Member State in which the consumer is established or domiciled is insufficient."
I would also draw attention to point 39 which states "In order to ensure the effective enforcement of this Regulation, the obligation set out in Article 4(1), (2) and (3) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 should be extended to products falling outside the scope of Union harmonisation legislation to ensure that there is a responsible economic operator established in the Union."
So while Amazon UK is not established in the EU - we are making the products themselves available within the EU/NI. For starters NORTHERN IRELAND IS IN THE UK - NOT IN THE EU, BUT THE RULING STILL APPLIES! AND we are offering despatch into the EU/NI etc.
Sorry - but unless amazon can explain where in the legislation it states that websites domiciled outside the EU (but still offering delivery INTO the EU/NI) don't need to worry - I fear that amazon UK haven't seemed to understand the legislation.
I am of course happy to be shown where I'm wrong on this - very much so!

I appreciate your help. Please would you emphasise the need for a speedy solution to this chaos. I send stock to EU FBA using Amazon transport services. This usually takes 4-6 weeks.
I am too scared to send any more stock now in case all my listings get blocked. If this is not resolved for another few weeks then another Christmas will have been lost.
I lost the last one because Amazon would only give me about 2 hours worth of sales in space.
