Rip off by amazon

These days amazon is just ripping off sellers and refund buyers immediately without giving chance to sellers to represent a to z claims though items have been already delivered and tracking entered inside orders.last few days huge increase in this.today it was extreme as a customer had ordered 2 rugs for £111 and had entered wrong address at checkout by mistake and we got the order and delivered to address provided to us by amazon but then customer informed us later when it was too late so we said we already delivered to correct address but amazon refunded customer and when we appealed the deicision and provided tracking and links they simply replied that we will uphold original decision as if its their father’s money

Post your A-Z appeal and we will help you put this right.

Presumably given the value of the order you got a signature.

I have to agree very much the same, refund the customer even when they have been supplied via Amazon shipping. Its a case of guilty until innocent, we have to challenge for refunds etc, A-Z claims Safe-T claims. And Amazon seller support just not interested, its just a case of file a claim?.
And god forbid if you use another courier trust me it will almost certainly be dismissed and you will be informed to claim from your courier. Month by month seller support is going downhill, as it does just not support sellers, it is more of just a reception to pass you onto other departments

You will need to appeal the A-Z refund with clear evidence the order was delivered to the address provided by Amazon, add a link with tracking that shows delivery and signature.

If that fails, then make a formal complaint to the MD’s office with the same evidence requesting reversal of the claim… managingdirector@amazon.co.uk

Unfortunately, this is the new way how Amazon is now handling the majority of A-Z claims.

Buyers are encouraged to open them and they get automatically granted as “Seller Funded” with an instant full refund issued and a defect recorded against your metrics.

The policy help page was also edited to exclude the wording about a seller having 3 days to represent their case and replaced it with:

If we determine that additional information is required during a claim investigation, we will contact you via email, and you must respond within three calendar days.”

https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/help.html/?itemID=G1781&ref_=ag_G1781_h_r0_cont_sgsearch

The only thing you can do once you lost is appeal through the A-Z claim form by clicking on the “Appeal” button and submitting a representation, which can be based on the example templates included in my A-Z claim guide thread:

https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/forums/t/updated-detailed-guide-explaining-how-to-win-all-types-of-a-z-claims/186824.

In case the appeal fails, e-mail managingdirector@amazon.co.uk complaining about the claim outcome and the policy change.

Also, please check out my latest thread where I explained in detail how the new A-Z claim process works:

Hi

I have read on the forum several times if the tracking number is not entered at the time of dispatch it will go against the seller.

I am not sure whether the above applies to you. When processing an order we always check the delivery address to avoid situations as you have described. Like you we have been stung with an international order where the customer provided an incomplete delivery address.

Suggestion would be to enter the customer telephone number on the shipping document so if it is delivered to the wrong address it might find its way to the rightful customer.

Had a smaller order to Germany go the same way.
I appealed giving them the tracking number, the page address with the delivery details and the time and date of delivery but Amazon upheld their decision and gave away my money.

So as tracking is not recognised by Amazon, I will send standard at the same delivery price in the future and the use the overpayment in postage will go towards paying me back the money Amazon take from me.

yep its been that way for a while now. unless you have a signature of the person who ordered this you don’t get your money back and they don’t seem to care that the buyer supplied the wrong address. had that same exact issue. you lose money and get an ODR point on the way. good job amazon the customer is always right
