Estimated Delivery Date

Hi all.
Maybe i’m being stupid and missing something obvious, but our items are showing a EDD of 2 weeks. Today is 4th January and they are showing as delivery between 18th-19th January. This is or is going to affect the number of orders we are getting I feel.

I’ve looked at the handling time under global shipping settings, which is set to 1 day. The shipping template used is set to 2-3 days transit time and any handling times in the listings are left as blank.

I’ve set up Premum 2-day shipping which has brought the EDD down for that option, but I’m confused as to why the original shipping has such a long EDD? There are no restock dates set either.

My promised delivery dates on Amazon have had an extra 12 days added to them for no apparent reason. On 3rd January my delivery date for available inventory was showing as between 9th and 12th January. But today it shows as between 20th and 24th January and I haven’t changed any of my shipping or handling settings. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes we have. Ours are 16-17th, our competitors have 13-14th so it’s killing us a little. We have only just come back off holiday mode but nothing for us has been changed. Our delivery dates on our end are 7-9th so I assume Amazon are still extending customer facing EDD?

Hello @richcee,

It can be to the fact that the handling time is blank.
Have you tried to set up some values?

Here you can find more info related to EDD set up.

@Othersellers- what do you think about this situation

And the stupid this is the customer my see an EDD of the 18th but when they order the ship date Amazon give you will be within the next day and the expected delivery date will be 2-3 days from now.

Then they send customer a ‘your item appears to be late, ask for a refund’ email to the customer in 4 days times - even though the date originally given to customer was the 18th !!!

Same here, we have 1 day handling and 2-3 days delivery in our shipping template but currently the customer is seeing 18th-19th January, needless to say this is affecting sales massively. We are also seeing that Royal Mail are now operating normally in terms of timescales so no idea why Amazon are still loading these dates…

Good evening All,

I have been selling on Amazon via MFN for a few years and have never had an issue with delivery times and have never changed my shipping template. My listings are showing as earliest date a customer is likely to receive their orders is 17-18th January? I would ship royal mail first class tomorrow so how is this the case? My shipping settings are as follows

shipping

Thanks
Michael
