Brand changed to 'Yoicn Lth'
The brand on one of our ASINs - B088FY5HPS - has changed from Tree Appeal to ‘Yoicn Lth’. I’m not able to edit the listing due to a cryptic message about ‘ASIN Z’ (see screenshot). Any ideas what has happened here and how to fix it? Just to be clear, we manufacture this item and nobody else sells it.

It looks like you may the victim of a brand hi-jacking or it could just be a glitch.
Either way you are going to have a real fight on your hands to get it changed back.
I started a post about this issue a few weeks ago and found sevaral other sellers had also had thier brands changed as well… THREE times within about a month for all of us.
In our case our brands have all been changed to the same brand name. One seller wrote to the seller with that brand name and they denied it was them and said they would help if they could but they weren’t able. So we don’t know if they are lying and they have changed the name, or if this is an Amzon glitch?
Either way Amazon have no been help whatsoever and have basically washed their hands of the whole situation.
Here’s my thread. (It’s a bit long but you’ll get the gist after a few posts)…

Seller Support have replied:
Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,
To protect the customer experience and prevent changes from impacting listings during holiday peak events, we are not accepting requests to update Brand names at this time. You can re-request any changes starting on December 1, 2021.
Please let us know how we did.
I’ve let them know.

We have a couple of listings with exactly the same ASIN Z problem. Brand registered products, manufactured and sold only by us have had the brand changed mainly to TUKNON. Titles and images have also been changed.
We’ve been effectively locked out and tried to resolve this with SS for over 6 months with no progress. It seems more like a bot glich than an attack. In our experience, it’s easier just to delete the listing and start again.

Absolutely rubbish, on amazons part yet again.
Ive had a similar issue just trying to update a Product title of an Irwin brand, as the title that has been written, will never get found by buyers searching for this item.
I get the same red text as the OP screenshot.
Great way to make money Amazon!

I’ve also suffered the same issue with the brand BATEMAN. Once they changed the brand they changed the image and listing details selling a completely unrelated product which benefited from high feedback that had been built up over the years. Tried with SS but ended up taking up to much of my time so throw in the towel. How Amazon allow this to happen is beyond me! Not only does it hurt the sellers but also the customer buying the rubbish Chinese product.

Yes we had same issue with registered Brand. We got the brand name changed back eventually but still has incorrect manufacturer name on listing. The only way we can make changes to listing is if we agree with ASIN Z for the ‘new’ manufacturer.
Its so ridiculous we have registered the TM with amazon and they can easily look up the details. People, it seems, can change these at will but the brand owners of them face a time consuming struggle against an immovable object.
It does make you wonder how they can be changed so easily when the owner of the brand can’t even make slight changes???
Of course I have just had amazon on the phone for 30 minutes talking about our VTR status. It’s a pity amazon can’t employ some of these people to actually help sellers instead of policing, or harassing, them for minimal customer benefit.

We had this happen to us in the US. Someone merged one of our ASINs into their brand (despite us being brand registered), we had to get the catalogue team to investigate and undo it.

The same thing happened to us. After much work (about 30 contacts with Amazon Seller Support) we have discovered it is related to Amazon Vendor in our case. The issue is Amazon Seller Support and Amazon Vendor seem unable to communicate with each other and as a result our issue is still unresolved. Even contacting Amazon Vendor seems to be difficult if not impossible so if anyone has any ideas about how to contact Amazon Vendor that would be very helpful.
Cheers and good luck!

Same thing happened with us - our PL product was changed to another brand and then a new, entirely different product put in place of our product, then the “hijacker” put in a counterfeit complaint against us which was upheld! Obviously no luck getting Amazon to look into this via any route so we gave that product and listing up - not worth the inevitable year long battle against Amazon, stress and frustration, easier to just bin the inventory and let that one go. Not sure why it was worth anyone “stealing” the ASIN either as it was low rank, rating etc - def not a successful listing to jump on and they replaced it with an entirely unrelated product. Why not just create a new listing rather than hijack an existing ASIN? I also don’t know how other people manage to get these changes through ie changing a brand and an entire listing when we struggle to correct the most minor information on our own listings! I guess it could have been a glitch in the system as I struggle to see the point of another seller doing this, but either way Amazon was entirely unbothered and unwilling to look into it or take any action.

Exact same thing happened for one of my listings several months ago! Was randomly changed to ‘Yoicn Lth’. Quite sure Amazon is receiving complains about this but ‘Yoicn Lth’ seem to be getting away with it!
I would recommend speaking with SS (good luck with that though!). Send them pictures of the product and packaging with your brand name and hopefully they will amend it.
Hope it’s resolved sooner than later
