VTR 60% despite every item sent first class with tracking

Hi All.. We send every item first class through Click and drop, a tracking number is automatically uploaded from click and drop on every single order without exception.

Despite this our tracking rate is currently hovering around 60%, presumably this means the posties aren't scanning the items on delivery despite the fact we are paying for this service.

Does anyone else have the same issue or any ideas how to deal with this.?

We are currently considering changing to seller fulfilled prime using Royal Mail tracked 24 but are worried this will impact our prime status if the non-scanning of deliveries continues

Thanks for any input or ideas.

Tracked 24/Tracked 48 get multiple scans during the delivery process. VTR just needs one scan.

The issue with 1st/2nd and normal 24/48 is they only get a delivery scan. And like you are seeing, if it doesn't occur, it hits VTR.

Now - amazon did USED to state they would validate unscanned parcels. It used to be written on the VTR policy page that they did so. This was removed last month and trying to get an answer from amazon on this has proven fruitless. So its unclear if they do still validate unscanned Royal Mail parcels.

If you upgraded to Tracked 24/48, you should be good for VTR.

Yes, I have had the same problem with the posties NOT getting a signature. I have found the rate of NO signature is between 10-20%

I check the tracking weekly and if any have no signature I file a claim with Royal Mail for cost of postage (£X amount) and cost of item (Max £20)

This has more than paid for the cost of sending everything "Signed For"

These items are coming up as invalid on VTR but they are valid RM tracking numbers & therefore should NOT affect your VTR !

Buy shipping from amazon and everything is okay. No matter posties scanning or not.

1st things 1st, don't use RM, don't risk you business on a business that is so out of date.

If you want to still post everything yourself buy postage from Amazon.

To save money and problems start using FBA, its a big step but you will see a big jump in sales and zero shipping problems.
