UPS lost return

I sent an order from Florida to California, using USPS Ground Advantage, on time, shipping label purchased thru Amazon shipping. Buyer wants to return it, he downloads a UPS label, drops it off at UPS, and they lost it.

He files an A-Z claim and they give him a refund, and take the money from me. Tried to file a claim with UPS, they say because it's Amazon's account, as per agreement I have to make a claim with Amazon.

Of course...Amazon says I must file a claim with UPS. It's a $145 item, and I am out the money and the item at this point...with shipping in excess of $300 total loss.

I've been round and round with UPS before, where they upcharged me more than $2500 last year with bogus "adjustments". Solution? I never ever ever use UPS anymore, but on returns they have the contract.

Any advice from real world experience??

Hello @Seller_UbFCmLkEVzZEE

Christine here from Amazon Forums.

Thank you for checking in with the forums about that UPS claim.

@Seller_LImVvUWeyiCfQ provided you with good information about contacting the UPS dedicated support number for Amazon sellers. Have you contacted that number for additional information?

If you have a support case ID you can share, I can review the details and check on next steps.

Christine.
