Missing units in FBA shipment

Good morning everyone, i’ve recently sent a parcel to the amazon logistical centre, and it seems like they are missing one of the units i’ve sent them.

I am sure i’ve sent the right product with the right labels (i even have a pic of it for some reason!) and i am sure they did receive the parcel because the tracking says so.

I went to the shipping page and selected the option “research missing units” and even sent a message to the support to solve the problem asap.

In the meantime, i have 2 doubts:
firstly is there anything i could do? Should i provide Amazon with more info regarding my shipment?
Secondly, how often does amazon take the blame for similar events and reimburses its users?

Thanks to everyone reading this

Thank you! Actually it’s from a scrapped youtube channel of mine, i thought it would fit as a mascotte for my amazon profile haha
Your pfp is very cool too, i have 2 dogs, I’m the proud owner of two Jack Russels

Hahaha very nice. Lovely, I love dogs.Thank you, it’s my parents’ GSD being a big softy. I’ve got two medium sized rescues, mixes of all sorts! :grinning: I have a cat too but he’s a huge pain in the backend :joy:

I see, cats are quite different from dogs :joy:. Jack Russells are so full of energy, sometimes i wish i had a calmer breed :joy:
One more question, what happens if they don’t find my unit? As stated before, i am sure it was in the box and that UPS completed the shipment.

Hahaha, I bet given the option you’d stick with your current pups  :They are quite different to dogs, but I was told they were a lot calmer, a lot less needy and very self-sufficient. The cat is constantly finding me, begs for food when you’re eating, knocks everything off the surfaces, hits the tv and eats anything (often the loaf of bread) left on the counter tops so he is not allowed in the kitchen. He also brings home other cats… My dogs are happy to be alone on the sofa, eat what they’re given, don’t beg… The list goes on lol. I should add that he is well fed, lots of cuddles, plenty of things to do (even an expensive cat wheel), he is just greedy and annoying.

They’ll ask for an invoice of what you paid and reimburse you what they think it’s worth, not sure what they’re base it on, but it is unlikely you’ll get the amount you’ll sell it for. We’ve had one before where we actually made more money from the Amz reimbursement. Be aware that if they suddenly find it, they’ll do a reverse reimbursement and take it off you.

Your cat sounds a lot like my dogs hahaha always begging, barking and given the chance they silently jump on the table to steal food :joy:

I see! Either case, if they find it great, i know it will sell, if they don’t, usually they pay me almost exactly my profit margins in reimbursements so we’ll see how that goes.
Thank you all for the support, this place is great!

P.S. Send my kindest regards to your dogs and my slightly less kind, but still kinda okish, regards to your cat

Good afternoon, after signaling the missing unit to the amazon support it still looks like they’re not looking for it (usually, it should state “research for missing unit” and the timespan needed the research should appear).
I guess I need to wait and someday the research will actually start right?

At the bottom of the page does it ask you to upload any invoices before you can submit it to research? It has asked me that a bit prematurely previously.
