Well, then, why am I charged for every single returned FBM item?

I guess I *could* charge a restock in the same amount as the return postage, BUT 90% of my returns are auto-refunded by time I receive the return!

While I understand that you don't want to allow returns on any of your products, however, your returns policy must be as favorable or better than Amazons return policy, which you can review here. You will also see extended return timelines for any orders placed from November 1st through December 31st and will allow returns up until January 31st of the following year. Here is the page for last years Holiday Returns policy.

You can view items that cannot be returned in the policy I linked above. I hope this information is helpful.

I did not say, "don't want to allow returns on any of" my items. I don't want to PAY for those returns. I am not offering free returns, but Amazon is charging me for the return label and refunding the whole thing to the customer before I have a chance to even look at the authorization.

My apologies for the misunderstanding. When selling on Amazon, you are automatically enrolled in the prepaid return label process for your returns per this policy for any MFN orders. I was able to get more information.

By offering Free Returns, you are unable to deduct the return shipping amount from the refund for in-policy returns, irrespective of the return reason. In cases where no prepaid return label was offered and the buyer has shipped the item back, you are required to refund the return shipping amount to the buyer. If Free Returns is not offered on your listing, you must adhere to the return shipping policy. You can read more about that here.

With no free returns options enabled, you are able to make those deductions in certain instances. If you have further questions around this, let me know.
