VAT exempt but not eligible for automatic receipt generation.

I have been going around in circles with Amazon support and their generic replies so really hoping someone might be able to help with this please...

I have a small UK limited company that turns over less than £85,000 per year (around £1000 per month on Amazon) so I do not charge VAT to customers. I click on the recommended links to declare my VAT status and change settings etc but keep getting redirected to a page that says 'You are not eligible for automatic receipt generation.'

I have contacted Amazon and they have told me my account is VAT exempt but I'm not 100% sure what they've done because one "support" member kept mentioning I will be exempt from paying VAT on Amazon fees which is not applicable because if I am not VAT registered - I therefore must be charged VAT on purchases, I just can't charge it to customers.

They gave me the generic 'how to' link which of course isn't working, which I have told them but they are just not taking on board anything I say.
