UK Account closed because we are an AU company no VAT registration

UK Account closed because we are an AU company no VAT registration

Amazon suspended our UK seller central account 6 months ago because they required us to supply a VAT number. The issues is the company registered on our account for ALL marketplaces is an Australian company. As an AU company we cannot get a UK VAT number as the application process requires we provide evidence of UK address/utility bill etc.

However we do have a separate registered UK company which we setup to launch in the UK. We've been trying to get seller central support to unlink our AU company from the UK marketplace and link our UK company to UK, whilst keeping the AU company linked to Amazon AU.

In summary what we need is:

AU seller central marketplace connects to our AU company

UK seller central marketplace connects to our UK company

We currently have ONE login/one account (ie we login to seller central and then pick the country) - seems only 1 company can be registered to cover ALL countries.

We have spent 6 MONTHS in constant back and forth with Amazon support being passed around departments as it seems no one knows what to do.

Do we need to set up an entirely different seller central account to have our UK business can sell to Amazon UK, so that our AU business can stay linked to sell on Amazon AU?
