Despatch times - Has something changed?
A long time ago I set my despatch time as 2 days, just to be on the safe side. It’s always worked with no problems until today.
On Sunday I got an order and today I go to process it only to be told the order is late and I should have posted it yesterday!
Has something changed that I don’t know about?
It’s a business customer if that makes any difference.

Sorry I don’t understand how it’s late if its FBA ?
If you have an asin that you fulfil via fba and FBM, go to the FBM sku - as you should have 2 offers if you sell fba and fbm, and check the handling time on that sku on the offer tab in edit

Premium or prime shipping ?
Check the handling time on the asin as this overrules your 2 day settings on general settings
Seller_7VbclcPFFRTnc
The asin handling time overrides the general handling times
Sellers with many asins usually use file uploads
Which is good for sellers like me who have 2 days set as standard, but 3 for personalised etc at asin level

I get that, but if you don’t set an ASIN handling time then it should default to your universal handling time, NOT theirs.
Since I don’t send much FBM I’ve now got a 100% late despatch rate.
It almost feels like Amazon get some sadistic pleasure in constantly moving the goal posts just so they can catch you out.

I sold three different fridge magnets last week to same customer. All were uploaded to the inventory at same time a few years back. Two had two day handling (my default) one had one day (not my doing)
I have noticed this more of late. The pesky bots!
Seller_x1xMSBwZsJrTE
It’s the pesky people that make the rules up as the go along that are more of a problem.
I’ve just looked through the news on shipping and there is NOTHING regarding this change.
Seller_7VbclcPFFRTnc
Nothing has changed in regards to policy
It must be something in your settings
Seller_x1xMSBwZsJrTE
I haven’t change anything in my settings and it’s worked perfectly with no problems for several years.
I’ll raise a case and see what Amazon have to say.

The same thing has happened to me, used to be two days but now it seems it is next day - I have changed nothing
Seller_DROodOAYHftnc
…that’s if they even understand what you are asking them !!!

Amz changed it to a ‘0’ day handling time not long ago as they messaged through (not sure if to everyone). They said something like we noticed you ship everything the same day as order received and they count that as ‘0’ days, whereas 1 day seems the minimum you can show manually, so you cannot alter to 0 days on items in a specific warehouse and 1 day for those in another warehouse, but have to default to 0 days on all. Then alter one ASIN at a time to alter to 1 day for those ASINs that cannot ship the same day.
Anything like that maybe?
I also note that for quite some time on Standard shipping, Amz show a 2 day delivery to some addresses that are near you, but say 3 days for those further away. Therefore if not delivered in 2 days, it will count as late. RM Tracked 48 Amz say not good enough to those 2-day delivery addrsses, but ok for the 3 day delivery addresses, so have to pay more for a faster delivery to those 2-day addresses, or take the risk RM Tracked 48 will be only 2 days. RM post though all goes to central Hubs, so no quicker delivery to next door to you or if going to London, Bristol, Manchester, etc anyway.

You can set it so that the handling times are derived from your order management software also. We have thousands of listings, but they are all blank in AZ and driven by what we put into Linnworks. It is so much easier than the AZ file upload and just takes us minutes. We have ASINs set to 2/3/4 days handling accordingly.

Do you happen to know if there is a report we can run that shows the handling time that we have set per ASIN? I’ve been looking and can’t seem to find one.

I am a seller fulfilled seller only, I had a bunch of random items all change from 2 day shipping to 1 day a while ago. I never touched any shipping settings or even edited any listing whatsoever.

Oddly, mine have gone the other way. Things are showing as taking longer. I thought it was something to do with the Royal Mail backlog.

I have had one instance, and also know reliably of one other, where my default handling time changed, unprompted by me, from two to one days. It just seemed like a glitch and hasn’t recurred.

If an order arrives on Sunday it cannot be despatched, via the Post Office, before Monday. If an order arrives late on Saturday night it cannot be despatched until Monday morning, via Royal Mail. Surely these details have to be taken into consideration if you are just an ordinary seller and not a large business.
