Policy violation? What can you do?
Got this from Amazon (below). The items I am selling have come direct from auction from a reputable store (Costco) They are not at all counterfeit??
Can I complain or do anything? Surely any other seller can use this to stop you selling stuff??
Hello,
We received a report from a rights owner that you are listing counterfeit products. Sellers on Amazon.co.uk are not allowed to create listings or detail pages for counterfeit goods.
We removed the content listed at the end of this email. We may let you list this product again if we receive a retraction from the rights owner. Their contact information can be found below.

What do I do about the above? Have looked into it more and think it is a copyright issue?
How are you meant to know if you can list an item? Is there anything I should be doing? Do they chuck you off for 1 policy violation? It has an appeal option, which I dont want to do as the item probably is copyright. Havent a clue, how can you find or check if any of your other items are? Would gladly take them off if they are

There is no much that you can do. You can try to submit the apeal with your purchase invoice and need to be a wholesales invoice not a retail.

It looks like you received a typical bogus trademark infringement claim, which can be submitted using the Amazon’s online form by anyone who has an e-mail address. Legit rights owners or their agents don’t use hotmail, gmail or yahoo e-mail addresses.
Even if you had invoices showing that you purchased the items directly from the manufacturer, it wouldn’t help you in such case. The only way to have the listing reinstated would be by filling a counter-notice.
You won’t get suspended for 1 false infringement claim. I am getting them every few days as I am being targeted by malicious competitors. These claims never affected my account in any way other than getting a performance notification and being unable to list the SKU (not the ASIN).
I have seen sellers who were suspended after getting just 1 claim, but these were legit and submitted directly by brands such as Apple, Sony or Nintendo.
So I think you have nothing to worry about.
