No Response from VAT Team – Urgent Help Needed.

Hi there,

We have been trying to get a response from the VAT team regarding our VAT liability of GBP 6,607.26. Cas ID: 11324393472

Our request was simple: to deduct this amount from our positive account balance so the matter can be resolved and disbursements resumed.

Instead, we keep receiving automated emails with VAT calculations—no direct response to our actual query. This ongoing silence is unacceptable and has severely impacted our business operations.

Can someone from the VAT or payments team please respond and resolve this matter please.

Obtaining brand approval

Is there a way to get a proper human response when submitting an application for brand approval? We have purchased product directly from the brand owner and have provided Amazon with the invoice as requested. I have gone through it with a fine tooth comb to ensure every piece of requested information is there and correct.

However the only response I get from Amazon is

"We have reviewed the documentation that you provided and determined that you are not eligible to sell [BRAND] products. We evaluated the information that you provided, but it did not pass our review."

No matter how many times I ask, no-one in Amazon will actually tell me what is missing or what did not pass the review. I just get the same canned response back every time.

I've also provided a signed authorisation letter directly from the brand owner and they continue to reject it without explanation.

A couple of weeks ago I received a notification from Amazon that there is a mismatch between my business name registered on Amazon and the business name registered with the German tax authorities/ VIES.

The business name I used to register on Amazon is the official English name translated from Greek whereas on the VIES website/ German tax authorities shows our business name in Greek, exactly as it is registered with the the local tax authorities.

I contacted the amazon team that deals with such problems (de-vat-number-appeals@amazon.de) and I provided them with an official English translation of our Greek statute as well as our official business registry certificate also in English. Both of these documents clearly state our official trading name in English which matches the one registered on Amazon but the Amazon team, that reviewed the documents, rejected them and advised me to update my business name on amazon to match the one on the VIES website.

Unfortunately, I am unable to do so because amazon doesn't accept Greek letters in the box where I must submit the business name and obviously our official Greek business name cannot be changed to match the one on Amazon.

I would really appreciate if a moderator could help me overcome this problem because I think that I have hit a brick wall with the de-vat-number-appeals@amazon.de team.

Hi All,

Sent a paperback a week ago to recipient in Glasgow where buyer's name and address were different (London) - perhaps a gift?

Today I get:

1/ A return request

2/ Advice that only an empty box has been received

Firstly these seem to conflict. Secondly the book was not packed in a box. Thirdly it was a low-value item (£4.10 + post) Fourthly the proof of postage shows weight of 300g. Fifthly R. M. do not appear to have scanned on delivery...

I've gone back to the buyer asking about the problem and whether I can help

I know this may be a scam, but am unsure if I should just authorise the return request, or what?

I believe that there are time limits for approving returns?

Im needing some help with order 203-7105365-9311506. This buyer has posted this item back but appears royal mail have lost it. Customer has since been granted a refund via A-Z and despite appealing the A-Z team the item has been delivered back to us which it hasnt and royal mail tracking shows the same.

Selling in EU

Hi everyone,

I was advised that in order to sell products in the EU, the packaging must include product information in the local language of each country. Since we’re unsure how many units we'll sell in the EU, we’ve included a multi-language instruction leaflet inside the product box (covering French, German, Spanish, and English). The outer box includes recycling symbols and an icon indicating that instructions are provided inside.

Would this approach be considered compliant with EU packaging and labelling regulations.

We are trying to avoid the cost of printing multiple language versions directly on the packaging for now, especially as Amazon seems to restrict sellers who don’t meet certain localisation requirements. Any guidance on whether this method is acceptable — or what the best course of action would be — would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I have completed the sale of 50 units of a product from the K-Secret brand. I have an official authorization letter from the brand, valid invoices, bank statements, intermediate warehouse invoices, and delivery confirmation documents — all of which are accurate and official.

Despite submitting these legitimate documents, my invoices are being reviewed by AI systems, and I am receiving rejection emails stating that the Handmade Integrity Team has denied them. However, none of my products are handmade, and I am an authorized reseller.

Unfortunately, due to this automated system, I am unable to carry out my sales even though I fully comply with all of Amazon's requirements.

Product isnt my brand!

I recently noticed reviews appearing in my customer reviews for a product I am not selling. On further investigation it appears this product has had its brand changed to my brand and is now linked to my account. The product has nothing to do with my brand what-so-ever but the sellers informed me it has the same name. I initially raised an IP claim which was rejected and I have been going around in circles ever since. Further to a post on the forum by amazon relating to unauthorised brand name changes I have raised a complaint under report abuse /listing violation to be told no violation has been identified. Safe-T Claims Constantly denied

We have an account with Amazon and a number of our orders are refunded on a weekly basis. Customers haven't reached out with queries and the items have been delivered yet they are being refunded. When I submit a claim I am being told this is denied and its always a generic response given with no actual information.

Does anyone have any solutions on this or any way of escalating a decision made as we are small family run business and are losing money each week.

I tried to ungate a certain brand and provided a invoice from an authorized distributor, proof of payment, proof of delivery, yet it was rejected. Not sure what am I missing here?

All documents provided are authentic and unaltered.
